Why Harvest Timber?
Timber is a sustainable and valuable resource, but the motivation behind logging often goes much deeper. Our private landowners mostly harvest to reduce fire danger and improve forest health.
Why do I need a Forester?
There are several advantages to using a forester instead of working directly with a logger or a mill.

Foresters also work directly for you, the landowner. We can negotiate logging rates and get competitive log pricing from multiple mills to maximize your economic returns. We're also on the ground representing you, in your corner with your best interests in mind.
Will I Make Money?
Long story short; it depends! The more land you have and the more timber you want to cut the better the returns.
If you have a large property we will want to time the market to maximize returns. If you're primarily interested in improving forest health we have had great results on properties as small as 10 acres.
